Our Life

D has landed himself a new gig and is very happy.  No, ecstatic might be a better description.  He was nearly floating around the house on Monday when he got the news.  So was I! 

He’ll be working in an office.  I can stop there with the description of the new job because this is the part that pertains to me the most.   He’ll be working in an office.  NOT the office 10 feet from the family room. 

This is huge.  He has been working from home since Jonathan was born.  Since before Jonathan was born, so for over 3 years.  It’s been great!  I mean, really, he was there to lend a hand when I needed him, but as you all can imagine, having the whole family together 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for over 1100 days can be….trying.

Now the time has come and I’ll be on my own, for real, with 2 very rambunctious little boys.  I’ll officially be a SAHM (stay at home mom).  Even though I have been for the past 3 years, I feel like I’m going to a new level.  A harder level.  I’m a little nervous, I’ll be honest.  Like I’m getting a promotion that I’m not so sure about, ha ha ha! 

Regardless, this is awesome.  And many congratulations to my fabu husband for being, well, fabu. 

And as long as I know where the wine corker is by 5:30, I think everyone will be okay.
